Description:
From the patents: in 1928, Ototaro N. Yamamoto, of Los Angeles, California, patented a New World version of Hanafuda, the Japanese flower game. A flower gardener himself, he selected a range of blossoms, and showed the honour cards of the original game with baskets and ribbons. There is no evidence that Mr. Yamamoto's game was ever manufactured, and we have recreated it in the style of the gardening illustrations of the time, from the catalogues with which he was familiar.
