Description:
The Italian-American artist Lina Pieri Manetti designed these cards for a game devised by a New York housing project. Unfortunately, the rules are lost to us - the numbering of the cards is boustrophedon, and the reason behind selection of a virtuous figure for each societal rank is not clear. These cards can be used for regular games, but they are also a puzzle for would-be game designers to discover the rules of the lost game. As a bonus we have included two of her designs as jokers.
