Description:
"Thorny Tarot" in French, because of the thorn-like diagaonal strokes in the style. Épineux also connotes a certain personality, something stubborn and the like. The style of the art is inspired by the art in the first half of the 20th Century, and can be seen as a sort of transition between the painterly dabbing in Impressionism and the hard, difficult strokes in Cubism.
