Description:
This is a pack made for playing cards when you can't find your glasses, using a special set of pips and court cards. Club and diamonds are outlined & have spiked angles. A Jack is shown by a triangle, a Queen by a circle, and King by an hourglass. It is based in part on the cards designed in the 1930s by the ophthalmologist Dr Johannes Kjølbye for players with poor sight. Kjolbye's pack drew on Antoine Lefebures 1920s patents that pioneered the hollowed pip design.
