Alice CarrierAbout the Tarot of Roses
Inspired by the iconic Smith-Waite Tarot, influenced by daily practice with The Collective Tarot, researched with magic, folklore, and rumor surrounding playing cards, the deck was originally told as a series of tattoos. With imagery designed for first for the body, flow can emerge and allow associations when forms repeat.
Our Rose City, Portland Oregon, has a climate with moderate temperatures, ample water, and an ethos for cultivation. This creates an ideal environment for all varieties to thrive.
This deck translates the original suits and major arcana into the language of roses, their form- cultivation, and care, giving readers a new path on which to ask and be answered.
